Carrier Check · carrier-invoice audit · freight brokers

Every carrier invoice, recomputed.

Each month we recompute every carrier invoice against its rate confirmation and your written accessorial policy, and send back the exceptions in dollars with a short-pay memo per carrier. Detention without timestamps, fuel charged twice, accessorials nobody authorised, the same load invoiced twice. Found before you pay.

Works with your documents

01 · What you get

Three things, every month.

Arithmetic verification of what carriers billed against what you agreed. Not an opinion: the numbers, traced to the rate con.

Exceptions

The exceptions, in dollars

Every invoice line that differs from the rate confirmation or your policy. Linehaul, fuel surcharge, detention, layover, stop-offs, lumpers, TONU, duplicates, arithmetic. Each one names the clause it broke and the document it came from.

Short-pay memos

A short-pay memo per carrier

One page per carrier with exceptions: invoice, load, line, billed versus agreed, amount to short-pay, the rate-con clause. Ready to attach to your remittance or send to the factoring company.

Audit record

A monthly audit record

Loads and invoices tested, exceptions by type with totals over and under, tolerance, method, who reviewed. Evidence for your customers, your lender and your own margin review.

Our standard

Every number traced to its source.

A verified invoice is one you can follow back to the rate confirmation, the policy, the timestamp on the POD. Our AI reads the documents, deterministic code recomputes every line, and a person reviews every exception before it reaches you.

02 · How it works

Four steps, and the month is tested.

  1. 01

    Send 20 invoices

Twenty carrier invoices with their rate confirmations, and the BOL or POD where you have it. Forwarded e-mails or a TMS export, as they are.

  2. 02

    We write down your rules

Free time, detention rate and cap, TONU, layover, stop-off, lumper policy, fuel surcharge basis. One page you confirm once. Then every rate con becomes the rule for its load.

  3. 03

    We recompute every invoice

Deterministic code, not a model, computes what each invoice should say and compares it with what the carrier billed. A person reviews each exception.

  4. 04

    You short-pay with evidence

Within 48 hours for the sample, then every month on your invoice batch. Excel, the memos per carrier, and the audit record.

03 · Why

The leak is in the lines nobody reads.

Freight audits typically surface 2 to 8 percent of spend, and almost all of it sits in the same places. Large brokers run audit platforms. Under twenty people, it is a spreadsheet, or nothing.

Detention

Billed without arrival and departure times, or beyond the cap, or inside the free hours.

needs the POD timestamps
Fuel

Surcharge added to a rate that already included it, or computed on the wrong index week.

Accessorials

Stop-offs, layovers, lumpers and TONU that were never on the rate con, or exceed what your policy pays.

Duplicates

The same load invoiced twice, often through a factoring company weeks apart, with a different invoice number.

04 · Price

One price per month, by load count.

Fixed before we start. No percentage of what we find, no per-exception fees. Cancel any month. The sample is free because the first 20 invoices show you what you would be paying for.

05 · Data

Business documents only.

Rate confirmations, invoices and PODs are commercial documents between you and your carriers. No driver data, no customer rates, no logins.

What we need

  • Carrier invoices for the month, as received (PDF or TMS export)
  • The rate confirmation for each load
  • BOL or POD with timestamps, where detention is billed
  • Your accessorial policy, or the e-mail where you describe it

What we never need

  • Customer rates or customer contracts
  • Driver names, licence numbers or ELD data
  • TMS, load-board or bank logins
  • Anything after delivery: files are deleted 30 days later, confirmed in writing

06 · Contact

Send 20 invoices.

Reply within one business day. Exceptions back within 48 hours of receiving the documents. If we find nothing, you still get the audit record.
